Qin Shi Yue arrives at a hotel in Fucheng late at night, only to run into Shi Yan immediately. Shi Yan informs Shi Yue that his niece has arrived. Afraid that Shi Yan may bring up Qin Le Zhi, Zheng Shu Yi lies to Shi Yan, claiming to be tired, and goes to bed early. With nothing to do, Shi Yan has no choice but to seek out Yu You and Guan Ji. As they talk about their love lives, Shi Yan tacitly admits that he has found the one he loves and has long seen Zheng Shu Yi as a wrong crush made right.

Not Single

When Shi Yan learns that he is going to be interviewed by journalist Xu Yu Ling, he decides to change the interviewer to Zheng Shu Yi, a journalist who has already been selected before. Before Shi Yan designates Zheng Shu Yi, he has already read an article written by her and is deeply impressed by her sharp perspectives. He is looking forward to meeting her and exchanging views.

First Impression

Zheng Shu Yi places the bracelet that Yue Xing Zhou has given her on Yue Xing Zhou's car door handle and leaves. After bidding farewell to Qin Le, Yue Xing Zhou notices the bracelet on the car door handle and realizes that Zheng Shu Yi has seen everything. In a state of panic, he hurriedly makes his way to Zheng Shu Yi's home.

Bracelet

Zheng Shu Yi goes to interview Shi Yan at Mingyu Yunchuang, only to discover that Xu Yu Ling has already seized the opportunity. Unwilling to give up, Zheng Shu Yi shamelessly pretends not to know that Xu Yu Ling has already been there and requests an interview from Shi Yan. Sensing Zheng Shu Yi's predicament and understanding that she has been preempted, with the possibility of her interview outline being stolen, Shi Yan softens for a moment and decides to give Zheng Shu Yi another chance for the interview.

Give Her Another Chance

While Zheng Shu Yi is in the process of composing an interview draft for Shi Yan, she learns from her colleague Kong Nan that Xu Yu Ling not only seeks to appropriate her special report resources, but has also plagiarized her interview outline. Zheng Shu Yi is incensed, yet she soon discovers that Shi Yan remains remarkably patient, allowing for a second interview. However, at the same time, he manages to embarrass Zheng Shu Yi multiple times, leaving Zheng Shu Yi unable to comprehend Shi Yan's intentions.

The Enigmatic Shi Yan

At this point, Shi Yan decides to have Qin Shi Yue start her work and learning journey at Financial Introduce. However, he sternly orders her not to reveal her family background, emphasizing the need for her to rely solely on her own abilities to excel at her job. Qin Shi Yue realizes that her uncle Shi Yan is very serious about this, and she quickly turns to Guan Ji for help.

Intern

The deadline is fast approaching, and if her draft is not approved soon, Xu Yu Ling's article will become the front-page content. This also means that Mingyu Yunchuang’s special coverage news is in jeopardy, and her desire to lead the redesign of the digital magazine will be in vain. Zheng Shu Yi can't help but feel compelled to confront Shi Yan and demand an explanation.

Help Me!

Zheng Shu Yi boldly flirts with Shi Yan, sending him a text message asking him to come pick her up. To Zheng Shu Yi's surprise, Shi Yan really shows up, leaving her utterly shocked. Bi Ruo Shan notices the unique chemistry between Zheng Shu Yi and Shi Yan, and she decides to give them some space. However, Zheng Shu Yi ends up getting out of the car with her, much to the latter's dismay.

Come Pick Me Up!

After returning to the magazine office, Zheng Shu Yi still can't be certain whether Shi Yan has overheard her conversation with Bi Ruo Shan. So, she musters the courage to send a message as a probe. Shi Yan sees the text but doesn't respond. Frustrated, Zheng Shu Yi questions why Shi Yan hasn't replied, and he retorts in response. Zheng Shu Yi concludes that Shi Yan has indeed heard her complaints about him, which makes her anxious as it could potentially affect Yunchuang's special report. She feels increasingly flustered.

Shi Yan Overheard

During the halftime break, a journalist from Jiangcheng Daily adds Zheng Shu Yi on WeChat, and the two of them have a pleasant conversation. When Shi Yan sees this, he becomes displeased and calls Zheng Shu Yi over. Confused, Zheng Shu Yi approaches him, and Shi Yan inquires about the whereabouts of the female journalist accompanying her. Zheng Shu Yi suspects that he might be interested in Qin Shi Yue.

Jealousy

On the day of the concert, Zheng Shu Yi doesn't meet Shi Yan as expected, as the one who shows up is Qin Shi Yue. It turns out it was a misunderstanding. The real owner of the WeChat account is Qin Shi Yue. During the concert, Zheng Shu Yi opens up to Qin Shi Yue about her recent breakup, emphasizing that her ex's girlfriend has a young and wealthy uncle. However, before Zheng Shu Yi could reveal her plan, Qin Shi Yue is already fired up with the same resentment towards the other woman, encouraging her to be the aunt-in-law of the other woman to teach her a lesson. The two of them instantly clicked, regretting not having met sooner.

A Misunderstanding

On the way home, Zheng Shu Yi was too nervous to talk to Shi Yan. The two talked about Shi Yan's remarks, and Shi Yan teased Zheng Shu Yi, making Zheng Shu Yi's heart flutter.

On the Verge of an Ambiguous Relationship

Shi Yan facilitated exclusive interview invitations for Guan Xiang Cheng and Zheng Shu Yi. Zheng Shu Yi was fully prepared to interview Guan Xiang Cheng, and informed Tang Yi in advance, asking her to reserve space for him. Tang Yi was shocked that Zheng Shu Yi could get this opportunity.

Exclusive Interview

Upon learning about the upcoming publication of Guan Xiang Cheng's interview on the front page of the magazine, Xu Yu Ling argued with Tang Yi and hinted that Zheng Shu Yi might have used improper means. Xu Yu Ling felt that Tang Yi was siding with Zheng Shu Yi. The two of them had long-standing grievances, and Zheng Shu Yi responded with a straightforward retort, leaving Xu Yu Ling speechless.

Work Pressure

Amidst her busy schedule, Zheng Shu Yi notices that Qin Shi Yue is struggling with her article. So, she makes time to teach her how to write articles, staying with her until late at night. When Zheng Shu Yi is getting ready to leave, she finds it hard to get a cab. So, she deliberately posts a message on her social media account, which is visible only to Shi Yan. As expected, she receives a call from him shortly after, and she is overjoyed. When Shi Yan arrives, he sees that a staff from a nearby cafe is trying to impress Zheng Shu Yi. He assertively takes Zheng Shu Yi away. Feeling his jealousy, Zheng Shu Yi feels very delighted.

Delighted

Zheng Shu Yi misunderstands that she has to share a room with Shi Yan and almost embarrasses herself. They visit the Xiaguang Temple to have their fortune read, where Zheng Shu Yi draws a fortune stick with great blessing. As hinted by the fortune slip, she anticipates getting closer to Shi Yan. As Qin Shi Yue is feeling overwhelmed by work, she turns to Zheng Shu Yi for help but ends up being ordered to gather and organize information about Zhanlan, leaving her feeling even more helpless.

After the press release of Mingyu Yunchuang's launch event was published, it caused quite a stir. Zheng Shu Yi decided to conduct an in-depth internal investigation at Yunchuang. She went alone to interview the finance department at Mingyu Yunchuang but ended up waiting for the entire afternoon in vain.

An Encounter

Zheng Shu Yi silently works alongside Shi Yan in his office for a long time, and the close observation allows her to gain a new understanding of Shi Yan. As the New Year approaches, Zheng Shu Yi's relationship with Shi Yan progresses rapidly. Even though they have not yet confessed, Zheng Shu Yi is still making plans on how to spend New Year's Eve with Shi Yan.

Reaping Profound Benefits

When the countdown to the New Year begins, Shi Yan wants to confess his love to Zheng Shu Yi. But he swallows his words when he hears what Zheng Shu Yi said. Guan Ji messages Bi Ruo Shan to wish her a Happy New Year. But he receives no reply from her. Qin Shi Yue wants to pursue Yu You. However, Yu You tells her that they are not meant for each other.

Countdown to New Year

Shi Yan almost believed that both she and Zheng Shu Yi had ulterior motives, but he couldn't comprehend why Zheng Shu Yi had waited until now despite having numerous opportunities. Upon returning home, Zheng Shu Yi was still deeply troubled by the fact that she had approached Shi Yan with a specific purpose. However, she couldn't confess directly to him, which left her in great distress.

Investment Target

Zheng Shu Yi and Shi Yan have started going out. Their friends and colleagues immediately notice that something is going on with them. However, they choose to hide their relationship and end up being teased. During lunch, when Zheng Shu Yi is texting Shi Yan, Qin Shi Yue misunderstands that she's chatting with Yu You. Zheng Shu Yi quickly explains that she only admires Yu You as a friend. Upon hearing that, Qin Shi Yue is delighted. She reiterates her thought that Zheng Shu Yi and Shi Yan are a match made in heaven.

Match Made in Heaven

When Shu Yi changed into the red dress that Shi Yan liked the most to accompany him while he worked overtime at Yunchuang, she suddenly realized that she had already made plans with Yu You and Qin Shi Yue to visit an art exhibition. To avoid making Shi Yan jealous, she didn't mention it to him. Although Qin Shi Yue didn't know much about art, she stayed up all night doing her research to impress Yu You. However, on the day of the exhibition, due to staying up late, she forgot most of what she had researched and had to improvise on the spot.

Seize the Opportunity

Qin Shi Yue finds out that Yu You will attend the Chip Conference. So, she begs Guan Ji to take her there. After agreeing, Guan Ji receives an invitation from Bi Ruo Shan to travel together. Bi Ruo Shan can hear his hesitation. Shu Yan travels to Fucheng where the Chip Conference will be held in advance. And he sends his driver, Fan Lei, to take her there.

Knowing that Shu Yi couldn't sleep, Shi Yan took her to watch a movie. Shu Yi didn't want to run into Qin Le Zhi, so she sneaked out with Shi Yan. Shu Yi posted a picture of the movie tickets on her social media, and Qin Shi Yue immediately liked it. Qin Shi Yue then chatted with Shu Yi, who was evasive. Qin Shi Yue couldn't help but speculate whether Shu Yi was watching the movie with Yu You.

Zheng Shu Yi cannot control her longing for Shi Yan. She calls him and tells him that she suddenly feels too hungry to work. Shi Yan is clearly downstairs, but he tells Zheng Shu Yi that it will take him 20 minutes to arrive. However, when Zheng Shu Yi goes downstairs and touches the completely cooled car, she knows that Shi Yan has been waiting for her downstairs all along. She realizes she can't escape her feelings for him.

Missing You

On the day Qin Shi Yue and Shi Yan rushed to Qing'an, Zheng Shu Yi attended a classmate's wedding as planned. During the banquet, a verbal conflict arose between Zheng Shu Yi and Qin Le Zhi. Qin Le Zhi deliberately revealed the alleged improper relationship between Zheng Shu Yi and Qiu Fu. Unable to defend herself, Zheng Shu Yi angrily left the table, feeling isolated and helpless. At that moment, all she wanted was to see Shi Yan. However, when she stepped outside, she discovered that Shi Yan was indeed waiting for her.

Relationship Setbacks

Zheng Shu Yi tosses and turns all night, unable to sleep. However, in the morning, she still heads to the agreed-upon location with Shi Yan. After the agreed-upon time passes and Shi Yan doesn't show up, Zheng Shu Yi, fearing that he has already learned the truth, takes the initiative to call him. Confirming her suspicions from his words, she is left disheartened before she can even apologize, as Shi Yan hangs up the phone.

Hearts Turned Cold

Zheng Shu Yi and Yi Yang collaborate seamlessly, turning the first issue of the special report into a hit. Even amid their work, Shi Yan continues to keep an eye on Zheng Shu Yi. Upon seeing the special report she has crafted, he sarcastically comes to the realization that he is not indispensable after all.

Blocked

Despite facing setbacks in her love life, Zheng Shu Yi remained extremely dedicated to her work. Although Qin Shi Yue had taken a leave, she remained attentive to Financial Introduce and realized that she had truly fallen in love with this job. Thus, she returned to the University of Finance and Economics to gain more insights. After class, Qin Shi Yue and Yu You strolled around the campus. Yu You's student mistakenly referred to Qin Shi Yue as Yu You's girlfriend. Seizing the chance, Yu You prompted Qin Shi Yue to consider the student's suggestion.

How to Deal with It

Two shareholders of Yunchuang suddenly declare that they will pull out from the company. Xun Yu Ling fails to receive any insider information. So, Zhen Shu Yi is sent there to do the task instead. Zheng Shu Yi manages to meet Shi Yan with Chen Sheng's help. Shi Yan didn't expect that Zheng Shu Yi would be there just for an interview. So, he rejects her. Zheng Shu Yi returns to the office and starts sobbing after Xu Yu Ling accidentally bumps into her. After she cries, she makes up her mind to delete Shi Yan from her list of contacts.

Breaking Up

Zheng Shu Yi's condition still shows no signs of improvement. She goes to the hospital alone to receive intravenous therapy. When Shi Yan learns from Qin Shi Yue that Zheng Shu Yi is back in the hospital, despite being busy and unable to rearrange his schedule, he still rushes to the hospital. Zheng Shu Yi is touched to find Shi Yan by her side. Encouraged by the warming of their relationship, Zheng Shu Yi is determined to win back Shi Yan.

Breaking the Ice in the Relationship

When Shi Yan arrives at Zheng Shu Yi's home, he indeed finds Yue Xing Zhou disturbing her, attempting to reconcile. Shi Yan boldly enters Zheng Shu Yi's home and keeps Yue Xing Zhou outside. Only when Shi Yan comes out from Zheng Shu Yi's home, forcefully declaring his sovereignty, does Yue Xing Zhou finally understand that he and Zheng Shu Yi have no chance of reconciliation. Dejected, he leaves. After socializing, Shi Yan returns to Zheng Shu Yi's home, and the two savor a sweet moment together.

Declaration of Sovereignty

Qin Shi Yue officially goes back to work. When she teases Zheng Shu Yi about being her uncle's girlfriend, Xu Yu Ling overhears her. Xu Yu Ling thinks that with Qin Shi Yue's age, her uncle must be a middle-aged man. She thinks that Zheng Shu Yi has a complicated relationship with Qin Shi Yue's uncle. After some inquiries, she finds out about Qiu Fu's rumor. She believes that Zheng Shu Yi is using an age-old dirty trick. Eventually, some rumors began to spread out within the company. Zheng Shu Yi finds out that Xu Yu Ling is the one who started it. So, she confronts her about it.

Rumors

Zheng Shu Yi, taking advantage of her injury, acted cute and pitiful toward Shi Yan. Shi Yan accepted everything without reservation. In the end, Shi Yan invited Zheng Shu Yi to live with him to make it more convenient for him to take care of her. Zheng Shu Yi felt that it was too soon for them to move in together. After contemplating for a moment, she eventually agreed to Shi Yan's invitation to move in together.

Moving in Together

Shi Yan requested Shu Yi's assistance in arranging a meeting with Yi Yang. Yi Yang wondered about Shi Yan's intentions. Shi Yan proposed that the two companies collaborate on research and development to jointly overcome the current technical challenges, achieve an upgrade, and share the honors and results. While Yi Yang was swayed, he did not fully commit to the proposal.

Let’s Collaborate!

At Le'an's listing ceremony, Shi Yan, as one of Le'an's shareholders, goes on stage to ring the bell together. At the celebratory dinner, Shi Yan delivers a speech. At the end of his speech, he says that he has one more goal in life that he wants to achieve at this stage, which is to get promoted in Zheng Shu Yi's life as well. Zheng Shu Yi runs to the balcony to calm down the excitement of being proposed to. After a while, Shi Yan comes out to look for her, and Zheng Shu Yi makes jokes and agrees to the proposal.

The Proposal

Zheng Shuyi, a reporter who excels at her job and is determined to land a front-page story, has tried very hard to earn an exclusive interview with top financial executive Shi Yan. Their love story then blossoms due to a mistake. Zheng Shuyi has written numerous reports through her in-depth research of various industries while Shi Yan is constantly looking for socially responsible start-ups to invest in as he hopes to give back to society as much as he can. Shi Yan finds that Zheng Shuyi's opinions conveyed through her reports coincide with his own, so he agrees to let her write a series of reports on their company. The two eventually open up new opportunities in their career and also find love.
