When director Jeff Tremaine and the members of Jackass were out shooting footage for their last theatrical endeavor, Jackass 2, they would up with so much material that they essentially had enough for two movies. The best of that material wound up in the theatrical film while the leftovers have been assembled here on this DVD and released as Jackass 2.5. So, going in knowing that this is the stuff that didn't make the final cut, is it worth watching?

"If you dig Jackass, yeah, it is."

A Tribute to Ryan Dunn

This TV special aired two months before the actual Jackass The Movie came onto the big screen. The Jackass cast tells us about the making of the movie and you get a good look behind the scenes of all the action that went on while making the film.

The franchise that most of the Western world knows as Jackass—a crew of loveable, Teflon-coated miscreants consisting of Chris Pontius, Bam Margera, Wee Man, Steve-O, and Johnny Knoxville—began years ago when the group decided to document their gleefully destructive antics on camera. What this VBS Special highlights is that the crew behind the Jackass cameras—director Jeff Tremaine, cinematographers Rick Kosick and Dimitry Elyashkevich, and writer Preston Lacy—have also been with the show since its humble, hand-held beginnings, and embraced the new mode of filmmaking and the new crew that came with it. Join VBS as we go behind the scenes on the set of the third Jackass film, Jackass 3D, and see what happens when the time-tested tradition of unhygienic pranksterism and unbridled camaraderie meet the technological wonders of three-dimensional film.
