Tony's vegan menu doesn't go well, and his anecdote about food textured like phlegm nearly causes Sam to vomit. Plus, after the group let Jan know she was dominating the previous night's conversation, she bursts into tears on the way home.

Gwent, Tony Wardle

Sam has a daring plan for her night as host - an ice cream making machine that she's never used before, along with a series of dishes that she's never cooked before. Despite the pressure, it produces the first relaxed evening of the week.

Jan spends 10 hours prepping in her attempts to win the week's prize. In a peaceful night, she worries that not being present for long stretches of the meal while cooking will hinder her chances - though also acknowledges that it may help.

Amateur chefs compete against each other by hosting a dinner party for the other contestants. Each competitor then rates the host's performance with the winner winning a £1,000 cash prize.
